Individual Sessions
Supporting you to feel calm, clear and connected
We provide a gentle, trauma informed approach to counselling, equine assisted therapy and art therapy. Sessions are offered either outside in the paddock with the horses or inside in our therapy rooms.
We work at your pace and offer a personalised approach to work through different issues.
We support you to work with what is happening for you now, become more aware of yourself and your beliefs, uncover your patterns and behaviours and understand the ways that you are holding yourself back or getting stuck.
Each of our practitioners are passionate about supporting you to find an increased sense of well-being in your life.

Our practitioners are trained and qualified therapists, all trauma informed and person centred and offer either equine assisted therapy, art therapy, nature based therapy or room based therapy.
- Do you find traditional room based therapy challenging?
- Do you struggle to feel safe around people and prefer animals?
- Are you interested in exploring your issues through art therapy?
- Are you interested in learning more about yourself through interactions with horses?
Working with the horses can provide you with an opportunity to safely explore what happens for you in relationships. The horses provide a non-judgemental, often curious presence in the therapy sessions. They give honest feedback about how you are impacting them from moment to moment which can be really beneficial in noticing patterns that occur for you in relationship.
Art therapy can be a powerful and insightful way to explore your issues. You don’t require any art experience and this can be a really helpful way to work if you find that you often struggle to find words to name your experience.
Our sessions are held in the Tallebudgera Valley and you can book online through the booking link or email us on admin@eata.net.au or call 0404 787 162 for more information.
- Are you worried about your teen and their mental health and well-being?
- Does your teen complain about feeling lost, disconnected and hopeless, they feel like they don’t fit in anywhere?
- Has your teen withdrawn from you, their friends, and life?
- Are they struggling to find their place?
- Do they feel like they are a failure? They just can’t get it right?
- Are they feeling isolated and alone?
- Are they anxious, depressed, aggressive or anti-social?
Working with horses has been demonstrated to helps teens build self-esteem, confidence, self-awareness, and skills in communication and forming healthy connections.
With wide-open space and the presence of gentle horses, teens often find it easier to communicate more freely than being confined to a room, one-on-one with a clinician.
Here, your teen will work with a qualified therapist and the horses in a calming, non-threatening environment conducive to positive growth.
We also offer room based art therapy sessions and nature based outdoor sessions.
Art therapy can provide teens with an opportunity to feel and express their feelings in a safe and regulated way.
